How to create an upsell and a downsell
An upsell is an extra offer parents see right after buying, such as a follow-up call after your sleep package. A downsell is a lighter option if they say no, such as an email check-in. Your funnel templates come with these pages, so you do not need to create them.
- Open the funnel from your templates. See How to create a funnel.
- Click the upsell or downsell step in the left menu. The configuration page opens, with automation rules and other settings.
- Click Edit page to design the page.
Need a second upsell, for example for another package? Click the three dots next to the step and choose Duplicate. Then rename the copy and change what you need.
Sell a digital product
- Choose Digital product as the offer type and click + to set up the product.
- Add a resource, so the parent gets access after paying:
- Courses: access to the course straight away.
- Course bundles: access to a bundle of courses.
- Tags: the tag you choose is added.
- Communities: access to your community.
- Add one or more price plans. See How to create and configure a price plan.
You cannot sell a calendar event on an upsell or downsell page.
Sell a physical product
Choose the product from the resources.
Add Accept and Decline buttons in the editor, so parents can say yes or no.
The upsell comes after the order form, and the downsell after the upsell.
An accepted upsell or downsell is charged separately from the main order. You and the parent see a separate charge for each product.
